The Roaches is a rocky gritsone escarpment on the Western edge of the Peak District, overlooking the Staffordshire Moorlands.

At its most northerly end, there are many rock formations such as this one, scattered around and eroded by weather over the centuries, that make great painting subjects. I chose to set this one during the 'Golden Hour', when the light is softer and warmer, as it helps to take the edge off the remote wildness of the moors.

The original watercolour has been painted on heavyweight (200lbs) Saunders Waterford watercolour paper (Rough), with light-resistent, high quality watercolour paint. The price quoted is for the painting to be supplied to you unframed, in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer. A quote for framed work will be provided on request.

SIGNED LIMITED EDITION PRINT
The Limited Edition Print is a giclee reproduction, using only inks of the highest quality, and printed on 310gsm acid-free German Etching paper. ART CARD
The Art Card is printed on 190gsm High-quality Smooth-finish card, size A5. It is blank inside (no message) and comes complete with its own envelope.
