Painted in a loose, 'Urban Sketching' style, I hope this captures the spirit of Cartagena, which is a wonderfully vibrant, and interesting place to visit.
The ink drawing came first, followed by loose watercolour washes. I was particularly keen to pull those dark shadows in from the left-hand side of the scene, and keep the figures more as a suggestion, just to convey the busy nature of the location.

The original watercolour has been painted on heavyweight (200lbs) Saunders Waterford watercolour paper (Rough), with light-resistent, high quality watercolour paint. The price quoted is for the painting to be supplied to you unframed, in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer. A quote for framed work will be provided on request.

SIGNED LIMITED EDITION PRINT
The Limited Edition Print is a giclee reproduction, using only inks of the highest quality, and printed on 310gsm acid-free German Etching paper. The Art Card is printed on 190gsm High-quality Smooth-finish card, size A5. It is blank inside (no message) and comes complete with its own envelope.
