Description
We’d set out to climb Blencathra, one of the highest peaks in the Northern Lake District, but when we turned up, the cloud was low, so we abandoned out plan and walked the length of Souther Fell, between Scales and Mungrisedale, instead.
It turned out to be a good plan for two reasons: firstly, the cloud never left the lofty summit of Blencathra, so a climb up to there would have been pointless (unless you like looking at the inside of a cloud). The second reason was that our route back from Mungrisedale took us along the valley floor alongside the River Glendermackin, where we came across this series of small waterfalls.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
