For some reason, I always seem to be in Buxton, in the Peak District, when the motivation for painting an autumnal scene takes a hold on me. I took the source photos for this when exhibiting at an art and design fair in the Pavilion Gardens in the town. The lighting conditions were perfect and I was trying out the camera on my new phone.<\/p>\n
The painting itself was started on that very weekend, in November 2023. but it remained unfinished until September 2024, when I completed it whilst exhibiting and demonstrating at Art in the Gardens<\/strong>, in Sheffield.
