I\u2019m pleased to say that it didn\u2019t disappoint. You could describe it as \u2018Gnarly Tree Heaven\u2019, mostly consisting of oak trees, but also including a smattering of Rowan, holly and hawthorn.<\/p>\n<p>Contorted branches crouch and intertwine amid a carpet of moss-covered boulders, all giving something of an ethereal feel to the wood. Most of the trees reach no higher than 15 feet and the oldest specimens are believed to be around 500 years old.
