My wife and I took a walk from Burnsall to Linton Falls in Wharfedale. Very much a ‘classic’ Dales hike, we saw lots of stone walls and barns, but more importantly, our turning point was the small village of Linton, famous for its falls.<\/p>\n

This painting was produced without any pre-planning in pencil; a loose, spontaneous approach that I like to indulge in once in a while – and one that means the finished painting is as much a surprise to me as any one else.<\/p>\n
