Description
If you approach Scafell Pike from Hardknott Pass, the most direct route takes you north, up Eskdale from Jubilee Bridge, and passes this farm.
In fact, I’m concerned that this may be slightly mis-titled; the crags visible in this sketch are known as ‘Yew Crags’, not to be confused with ‘Yew Crag’, below Yewbarrow, in Wasdale. I took the name of the farm from a sign on the approach to it, which clearly referred to itself as ‘Yew Crag Farm’. Either way, this is a great view of the crags, and a last little bit of homeliness before things start getting really wild and less hospitable.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
