Description
This sketch was made on location in Baslow in Derbyshire, during one of my weekend workshops there. These particularly picturesque, thatched cottages are situated by the brook, alongside the track leading into Chatsworth Park, and always provide excellent subject matter for sketching and painting. Because it is on a popular route into Chatsworth Park, there are always people walking past, providing the added bonus of figures to add to the composition.
Because it was used as a working sketch for a follow-up demonstration soon after, there are a couple of small watercolour marks on the bottom left-hand corner of the drawing.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
