Back Lane, Malham (Pencil Sketch)

Description

This sketch was made on location, in the village of Malham, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, during one of my weekend painting workshops.

I discovered a footpath I didn’t know about, behind the village hall where our workshop was based. It crossed a single field to this lane, where I had the group sit and sketch for an hour or so in the glorious sunshine.

I painted this sketch up into a line and wash soon afterwards, on returning to the hall, and have since painted it again as a pure watercolour.

This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
