Description
Join professional watercolour artist Peter Woolley as he explores the fells above Great Langdale in the Lake District, and challenges himself to hike to three high tarns over three consecutive days.
The climb to Lingmoor Tarn is broken up by expansive views across to the Langdale Pikes, while the tarn itself is quiet and unassuming, but no less impressive. The hike up to Stickle Tarn on day two is equally rewarding, accompanied by a series of picturesque waterfalls and dramatic views back down into the valley.
On his final day, the view across to Pike O’Stickle inspires a classic line and wash, while Angle Tarn, nestling in the shadow of Bow Fell inspires a more ethereal interpretation.
A cinematic journey accompanied by five full watercolour demonstrations, including Peter’s commentary on his techniques, bursting with advice and tips for watercolour artists of all abilities, from total beginner upwards.
