Description
The Langdale Pikes are one of the most recogniseable landmarks in the Lake District. This is one of the less common views of them, as seen from the high pass as you cross from Tilberthwaite to Landgale.
One of the things that is always guaranteed to attract me to a scene, are rocks. I was particularly interested in exploring the many textures visible in this smattering of rocks in the foreground, and the challenge of juxtaposing them with the rising form of the Pikes in the distance.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
