Description
This is the second time I’ve painted Levers Water from this particular viewpoint. The painting actually started out as a demonstration for Lytham St Annes Art Society in March 2020, my last before the Coronavirus lockdown cancelled all demonstrations and workshops for a while. It was completed in the studio on the 9th of April 2020.
The hills rising up to the left lead towards the summit of Coniston Old Man, the track back down to Coniston village is behind us. One of the things I’ve always loved about this view is the large, distinctive rock, which provides an ideal focal point.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
