Towards Coniston from Bowness-in-Windermere (Ink & Pencil Sketch)

Description

This Ink and Pencil sketch was made on the banks of Windermere, while tutoring an Alpha Painting Holiday in the Lake District in 2015.

We’d spent most of the morning sketching and painting the boats on the water, and moored up by the adjacent jetty, but this view caught my eye, and proved to be an ideal subject for demonstrating how pencil and ink can be combined in a drawing. What made it all the more ideal was the dramatic cloudscape in the sky.

This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
