Description
It’s always exciting to come across a dramatic gorge like this one, situated in Tilberthwaite, in the heart of the Lake District.
Yewdale Beck winds its way down through the rocks, from a narrow point in the gorge someway in the distance. I was captivated by the textures in the foreground rocks, and used a warm infusion of light to help accentuate the illusion of space and depth within the scene. I also rather liked the way the trees brought a hint of softness to an otherwise wild, harsh location.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
