Description
For some reason, I always seem to be in Buxton, in the Peak District, when the motivation for painting an autumnal scene takes a hold on me. I took the source photos for this when exhibiting at an art and design fair in the Pavilion Gardens in the town. The lighting conditions were perfect and I was trying out the camera on my new phone.
The painting itself was started on that very weekend, in November 2023. but it remained unfinished until September 2024, when I completed it whilst exhibiting and demonstrating at Art in the Gardens, in Sheffield. This must surely mean that this painting holds the record for the longest gestation period for any piece of work of mine.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
