Description
I love a stone barn, me. Here in the Yorkshire Dales, stone walls and barns are ten-a-penny (or ‘common as muck’ as they’re apt to declare in these parts), but I can honestly say that I never get bored of them – because every one is unique. And when I’m out and about, I’m always on the lookout for barns with character – or those built in particularly interesting locations.
This particular barn is located on the outskirts of a little village called Marske. It’s a short distance from Richmond, where I live, and on this occasion, we were heading out for a local walk from Marske to the little hamlet of Helwith.
The painting was produced as a part of a project for my online tuition service.
