Description
This is just one of many dramatic rocky escarpments to be found along the western edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire.
A loose line and wash approach to this enabled me to capture the scene efficiently, and quickly. Like all the ‘edges’ in this area (known as ‘The Dark Peak’ because of its abundance of millstone grit), the rocks have been eroded away into interesting shapes, and their surfaces are covered in lots of lovely textures.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
