Description
Swaledale is always good for painting material. It’s also good for hiking, with a myriad of footpaths following the line of the valley and the river, or leading the walker up onto the wilder tops. It was a hazy winter’s morning when we came upon this old farmhouse just outside of the village of Reeth, on our way up to Reeth Moor. The juxtaposition of clear, sharp shadows in the foreground and Swaledale disappearing into the hazy mist in the background was irresistable.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
