Description
I always enjoy stopping off at Mindelo in the Cape Verde Islands, when heading out West over the Atlantic Ocean towards South America.
In particular, I love the old wooden fishing boats that are often parked in their multitude on the small narrow beach there. They are colourful and bursting with textures and character; it is mostly for these reasons that I enjoy painting them – although boats always fascinate me. The boat and tree, in this scene, are made all the more interesting by the many shadows on the beach.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
