Description
If you pause roughly halfway along the walk to Easedale Tarn, from Grasmere in the Lake District, and look back, this is the view you will see.
Helm Crag rises up to the left and the stony footpath winds its way back down the valley towards the village. I infused the scene with a warm, early morning light, to act as a visual counterbalance to the bleakness. This wet-in-wet wash, and particular combination of colours, has always been one of my favourite starting points for many a painting.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
