Description
We visited Skjolden in Norway, whilst running painting classes on board Fred Olsen’s Borealis, in July 2026. The hike to Asafossen waterfall (seen descending the hillside in the distance) was a long, hot walk alongside the tranquil waters of Eidsvatnet. Needless to say, the glacial lake makes for a particularly rewarding painting subject (and something of a challenge, with the submerged rocks in the foreground).
My preliminary working sketch, in pencil, is also available to purchase here).
Painted whilst exhibiting at Art in the Pen, in Skipton, in August 2026.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
