Description

Grisedale Tarn is about half of the way up the long slog towards Helvellyn (up the hill to the left) or St Sunday Crag (off to the right), when approached from Grasmere. This location is also on Wainwrights Coast to Coast Walk; the route skirst the tarn and disappears over the brow, down towards Patterdale.

I’ve always found this view to be particularly dramatic, and makes for a good composition
