Description

Brimham Rocks, a large 400-acre site now managed by the National Trust, has always attracted large numbers of visitors. In Victorian times, there was a common belief that the strange stones had been carved out by Druids, which accounts for the many Druid-related names given to the formations. These days, the area is no less popular, and makes for a fantastic day out for young and old. I defy anyone to visit and not be tempted to climb on the rocks…

This painting of ‘The Blacksmiths Anvil’ came from of one of my many visits to the location in late-October.

Click here to see footage from my visit, and a preview of how the painting came together.

Please note that the anomally visible in the top right-hand corner of the image is a small backrun which is physically present on the painting. It has been left in but its prominance could be reduced with a little careful restoration work, if requested.

This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
