Description
After a long days walk up to the top of Penn Hill, in Wensleydale, our route back to the car took us along Flint Lane, towards Penhill Farm, which overlooks the village of West Witton.
This is a composition that has all the ingredients of a typical Dales scene. I always love exploring the lines of dry stone walls and the rolling contours of the fields, and finding ways to visually pull them all together. Fortunately, that huge tree provided me with a good, strong focal point, and the sheep, arranged as they are, help to reinforce the path of vision.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
