Description
The clear blue meditteranean sky is reflected in the crystal clear rock pools of Dwejra Bay on the island of Gozo, just off the mainland of Malta, in this serene coastal scene.
This is the view looking towards Fungus Rock, away from where the Azure Window used to be, before it collapsed and disappeared into the sea. The rocks in this area are sedimentary, and quite distinctive with notable pockmarks of erosion across the whole of their top surface, and the bright sunlight ensured good, strong contrasts.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
