Summer Shadows at Lancrigg, Easedale (Original Watercolour)

Description

Easdale is a green valley adjacent to Grasmere, in the central region of the Lake District. It provides easy, and popular, access routes to Easedale Tarn and Helm Crag, with as many low-level footpaths and routes to explore as there are high-level ones.

The conditions were perfect during my visit in this occasion, with blue skies, bright sunlight and interesting shadows falling on the pathway and the stone wall. I particularly enjoyed painting the stone wall in the foreground, and loved getting stuck into the rustic textures of the farmhouse.

This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
