Description
This is a farm track that snakes its way up onto Penn Hill, in Wensleydale, from the village of West Burton.
I get very excited about rocky, muddy, chaotic foregrounds like this; I can get lost in them – the process is very immersive and surprisingly relaxing. I also rather like the fact that I’ve given scene a very low eye-level, which places the focal point – the prominent winter tree in the top right-hand corner – particularly high up, adding extra impact to the stony track in the immediate foreground.
This painting is supplied unframed, and will be dispatched in protective packaging with rigid backing panel, ready to take to a framer.
